Potential Sponsor or Partner,

On the morning of September 11th 2011, firefighters from across New Hampshire and the region will gather at the Brady Sullivan Plaza in downtown Manchester and climb 110 stories to honor the memory of the 343 New York City firefighters killed on September 11th, 2001.  Their dedication to duty and ultimate sacrifice will always serve as the principal example to firefighters across the country of the mission of the United States Fire Service.

Sponsored by the Fire Instructors and Officers Association of New Hampshire (FIOANH), the inaugural NH 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb will allow firefighters and observers alike another way in which to keep their promise to “never forget” the ultimate sacrifice made by the 343 FDNY firefighters, and “never forget” all the lives lost that day.  Many of the participating firefighters will make the climb wearing an additional 30 to 50 pounds of firefighting personal protective gear and firefighting equipment.  Additionally, participants will carry a picture and name tag of one of the New York City firefighters who gave their lives on that day in 2001.

Along with honoring the memory of all those lost on September 11th 2001, the primary goal of the stair climb event is to raise money to help support the work of the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF).

Created by the U.S. Congress in 1992, the mission of this non-profit foundation is to honor and remember America’s fallen fire heroes and to provide resources to assist their survivors in rebuilding their lives.

Together, through corporate sponsorships, participant registration fees and climber pledges, we can help the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation continue their mission of honoring America’s fallen fire heroes and helping support their surviving families.  100% of the money raised will go to the NFFF.  Your contribution or gift is considered tax-deductable.
